Your reviews speak Hungarian too. Here's what international testing looks like in practice

When a brand expands, the first thing a customer in Budapest or Bucharest checks is reviews. 97% of people consult more than one source before buying (Bazaarvoice 2026). If they find nothing on the local comparison site, the purchase ends before it even starts.

What an authentic international review looks like

On the Hungarian Árukereső (Heureka Group), under the Hisense 65U7Q TV, you'll find a review from a verified Hungarian buyer: detailed text about picture quality, sound, and PS5 gaming, six pros, one con, and three photos straight from their living room. Reviews for Gillette Labs, Jar Platinum, or Oral-B iO look just the same, labeled 'tesztelve a Testuj.to által'.

What makes such a review trustworthy: at least 200 characters of text, pros and cons (85% of shoppers actively look for negative reviews, PowerReviews 2022), product photos tailored to the item category, and a clear disclaimer in the local market's language.

Why translating Czech reviews isn't enough

Customers look for reviews where they shop and in their own language; 74% compare two or more platforms (BrightLocal 2026).

A Hungarian customer won't see your Czech reviews on Árukereső. And translated text lacking local photos and pricing feels less like a neighbor's honest feedback and more like marketing.

What to do right away

Before launching your first campaign in a new market, check the current state of your product listings.

Three steps before expanding
  1. 1Search for your top five bestsellers on the target market's comparison site (Árukereső, Compari, Pazaruvaj, idealo). How many reviews do you have there, and in what language?
  2. 2Benchmark yourself against the local category leader, not the Czech one.
  3. 3Plan reviews before launch, not after. Playing catch-up on a blank product page takes months.

Two ways to get reviews abroad

In practice, they work best together: local testing provides authentic language and photos, while syndication ensures reach.

Local testing

In selected countries, such as Hungary, we work with local testers

Reviews are written by real users in their native language, complete with their own photos.

Review syndication

We distribute reviews from testing across Heureka Group (9 markets), idealo (6 markets), and Notino (27 countries)—reaching 29 European countries in total—plus directly to Datart, PLANEO, Dr. Max, or NAY.
Syndication increases the number of reviews per product by 83% (Bazaarvoice 2019).

Recommendation

Expanding without reviews is like expanding with an empty store window. That’s why at Testuj.to, we combine local testers for authentic language and photos with review syndication for widespread reach.

The reviews belong to the brand, and inside the client portal, you get access to tester data and NPS—giving you direct market feedback from your new territory.
