Campaign Overview: Three seasons, eight products, five spots each time

Marimex RobotVac Fraser robotic pool cleaner in a pool

From May 2024 to June 2026, Testuj.to by FRENX ran eight testing campaigns for MARIMEX CZ in the Czech and Slovak markets. The products tested included two robotic pool cleaners (RobotVac Fraser, SupraVac Trinity), the ProStar Solar 3 solar pool filtration system, a DUO 40 l solar shower, Pool House Cabrio pool enclosure, Vista garden gazebo, and two sizes of cooling tubs.

Each campaign offered five spots. The campaigns aligned with the commercial season: new pool and garden products were tested right before summer, and cooling tubs in autumn. A total of 1,996 people applied and completed questionnaires.

Challenge: A seasonal new product needs to pay for itself in a single summer

A pool cleaner or cooling tub sells for only a few weeks a year. When a new arrival appears on an e-shop and Heureka without a single review, customers skip it and buy a model they can read about — turning this year's launch into next year's clearance.

The second complication is practical: these aren't products that just anyone can test. A pool cleaner requires a tester with a pool, a pool enclosure needs a tester with matching pool dimensions, and a gazebo requires a garden with space for assembly. Moreover, applicant interest varied 35-fold between campaigns — ranging from 24 questionnaires for the solar shower to 859 for the cooling tub.

Solution: Selection based on home equipment, not application order

For each campaign, we selected testers based on their actual household setup — pool type and size, garden space, anchoring options, and for cooling tubs, apartment vs. house living. As a result, the final reviews feature real-life operational scenarios rather than vague impressions: a tester living on the fourth floor of an apartment building described how they managed filling and draining the tub on their balcony.

We timed the campaigns to match the client's commercial seasons — pool equipment before summer, cooling tubs in autumn — so reviews were present on product pages before sales started. Every approved review was published on Testuj.to and simultaneously syndicated to Heureka.

Results in Numbers: Out of 40 selected testers, all 40 submitted a review

Eight products tested, each in its own campaign with five spots. 1,996 completed questionnaires (roughly 50 applicants per spot), 40 selected testers, and 40 published reviews from 40 unique testers — a 100% submission rate.

An average rating of 4.5 out of 5, with 100% of testers recommending the product. 114 photos were gathered, with every review attaching at least one photo. In total, 81 review syndications were achieved: Testuj.to and Heureka for every review, plus one additional on TS Bohemia.

What Testers Disliked: Instructions and assembly were the main weak spots

The most common complaint concerned assembly and manual instructions — mentioned in 9 out of 40 reviews (23%). Testers noted overly complex instructions, excessively brief manuals, missing printed guides, and the fact that assembly listed for two people actually required three. This is confirmed by feature ratings: ease of installation scored an average of 4.0 out of 5 — the lowest among all measured criteria and nearly a full point lower than ease of use (4.9).

The second most frequent criticism was missing accessories in the package (7 reviews, 18%) — hoses, multi-way valve, power switch, adapters, anchoring material. This was followed by functional limitations (6 reviews, 15%; pool cleaner does not clean stairs or walls, not suitable for saltwater), leaks and seepage (5, 13%), price (3, 8%), and battery life or charging time (2, 5%).

Four reviews (10%) listed no drawbacks at all. The lowest rating given was 7 out of 10 — no tester scored lower than that.

Where the Reviews Ended Up

Every review was published in at least two places — Testuj.to and Heureka, exactly where customers compare pool equipment prior to purchase. One review was additionally syndicated to TS Bohemia, resulting in 81 total syndications.

Methodological note: Data originates from the Testuj.to by FRENX administration database as of August 22, 2026. A 'review' refers to an approved review; ratings tracked on a 1–10 scale in the database have been converted to a 5-point scale. Included are all eight campaigns commissioned by MARIMEX CZ in the CZ/SK market, active between May 16, 2024, and June 4, 2026. Pros and cons topics were coded from open-ended tester responses; a single review can belong to multiple topics.

Working with Testuj.to was well-organized and professional. Everything was agreed upon on time, and the testing itself followed a pre-determined schedule. We appreciate the fast communication, warm approach, and understanding when resolving minor hiccups. The testing gave us many valuable insights and user reviews — we used the positive ones in marketing, and the more critical ones helped us refine our products further."
