How testing helped get reviews for a new Philips product

Philips was launching a new product and wanted to get reviews for it. They needed to reach a new target group: young men aged 14–17. At the same time, they were concerned that this target group wouldn't devote enough time to providing feedback. That's why they decided to entrust the feedback collection to us.

Getting the attention of a new target group isn't easy

Philips was planning to launch the new OneBlade First Shave. The target group for this product is young men aged 14–17 who are just starting to shave. The client needed to get authentic reviews directly from them, but knew there was a risk that they wouldn't use the product correctly or simply wouldn't submit feedback.

Why did they choose Testuj.to?

Although Philips has its own panel, young men aged 14–17 are a very specific target group. The time-consuming nature of the campaign and the specificity of the target audience were the main reasons they decided to contact us.

What were the campaign results?

301 interested people applied for the campaign and completed 301 questionnaires. From them, we selected the 15 most suitable testers. They tested the OneBlade First Shave and replacement blades and published 84 unique reviews on three platforms. The products received an average rating of 4.6 and would be recommended by 93% of testers.

The design of this device is modern. It's comfortable to hold and allows for a convenient and precise shave. You can also shave on dry skin without needing any shaving foam. Unfortunately, the package doesn't include any attachments for trimming longer beards.

The collaboration was pleasant and, above all, beneficial. We handle smaller projects ourselves, but for larger ones, it's great to have a partner we can rely on. In the case of the OneBlade First Shave, it was also great how Testuj.to managed the risks associated with the target group.
